Football Saturdays & Sundays…and apple picking?

Well gentlemen (and some ladies), College Football and the NFL are now back into our lives each and every weekend for the next few months. Boy how I missed it so. Regardless of football, it’s a beautiful time of the year as well. For one thing, I’m not sweating in my sleep anymore (my mom can’t smoke me out by refusing to turn on the air condition). The fall also brings some terrific holidays and different activities to take part in; Halloween, Thanksgiving, Flag Football, My Birthday, Town Fairs, etc. There are also a few things that I would like to do this time of year and I’m curious if I’m a little out of line….

Why am I looking forward to going apple and pumpkin picking? I know I can go with a group of people and make it an all day event, maybe throw in a couple beers to make the experience a bit more “manly” but….I’m really looking forward to it for some reason. Is this one of those “I had a few great experiences as a child and I naturally want to experience it again” situations? What makes picking apples from a tree so appealing to me? Do you look forward to doing things like this? I can also go for some pumpkin bread. Haven’t had pumpkin bread in a while. Homemade preferably. What is wrong with me? The Giants just won…..sweet.

Thoughts?
