I don’t see myself as an “environmentalist” or a “green thumb” type of person. Outside of some mandatory community service for school (no, I didn’t get locked up…..yet) I’ve never really volunteered to clean up any litter or plant flowers around the neighborhood. Now that I mention it; maybe I should?
On my way back from work tonight, a really classy person decided it would be way too much of a hassle to hold onto the dumpster sized amount of garbage that she had in her car for a second longer; everything HAD to go out the window in the middle of the highway. Napkins, sandwich wrappings, paper bags, receipts, tissues, you name it; she had it. I’m sure by now you figured out why I’m able to give such a detailed analysis of this ridiculous ordeal; yeap….. right behind her.
My goal for this blog is to create friends and fans, while sharing this public diary of a blog. The last thing I want/need to do is form enemies or take a hard stance on a particular subject. But this was just uncalled for and absurd if you ask me. If you can’t wait to get to a garbage, or are too lazy to throw away your trash properly; you should be kicked. No, not punched, slapped, pelted, whipped; just kicked. A nice “going for the 63 yard field goal with 2 seconds left in the game and down by one” type of kick.
Don’t get me wrong; I’m guilty as charged in the past with letting a gum wrapper fly out the window every now and then. I’m happy to say I don’t do it any longer but; I’m no saint. And hey, maybe her pounds of garbage may have temporarily caught fire and she needed to toss it out the window for her safety, or there was a bee in the car and she needed random objects to throw to help rid the bee from her car, or maybe she thought it was customary to throw anything and everything out of her car while driving 65mph on the 21st of July. Maybe she’s just a slob that needs to be kicked.
Don’t know why it bothered me so much, but it did. Thoughts?
